Healthy Eating Tips for an Effective Weight Loss Program
August 31, 2009
One of the strongest enemies of weight loss schemes is craving. This is also because nutrition of most weight loss schemes isn’t well balanced. The tendency for people following these crash diets is to fold over twice, give in to the call, and binge mercilessly. Below are healthy eating tips that can help you get out of the bad binge eating habit:
Don’t skip meals
It’s healthier to consume small, manageable meals to keep off hunger than starve yourself by skipping lunches only to end up eating too much during your next meal. Instead, keep a list of healthy small meals spread three to four hours throughout the day. Make sure that you have a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables on your menu. Studies have shown that about 95% of the US lack fiber because they don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables.
Keep to lean options
You can still eat meat without worrying too much about heart attacks if you keep to lean meats. Try to eat grilled and boiled meats as well instead of deep fried ones. Fish is a healthy eating option, but if you’re eating deep fried fritters, you’re still taking in too much fat. As a rule, white meats are healthier that red meats, so try to invest on those.
Look for healthy alternatives
Try to follow healthy eating guidelines. If you’re craving for ice cream, try buying small packages of yoghurt instead. If you’re craving for potato chips, whip up your own batch of baked potato chips and lightly salt them. Remember that most junk foods are unhealthy because they have been processed. If you can whip up your own meals, you’ll be in total control of the seasoning and the portions.
How to Find a Cure for Hemroids That Really Works!
August 31, 2009
Hemorrhoids? Who wants to talk about That!? Forget about it! But if you are being bothered by hemorrhoids you can’t just forget it. You have to deal with it.
You check the Internet and mostly what you find are ads for over-the-counter creams, lotions, ointments to provide “relief”. Most don’t mention that even if they work, the benefit is only temporary. In a day or two you are back buying more to use again.
What you really want is not a never-ending treatment, but a long-term, lasting cure for hemroids.
Everything has a cause and an effect. When you only focus on treating the symptoms, only look for a treatment of hemorrhoids, you won’t get at the root cause and find the cure!
Hemorrhoids are not contagious! They are not an infectious disease! You usually get hemorrhoids because of certain reasons of lifestyle and how you treat yourself. If you change these causative factors, you go a long way towards getting rid of the problem these factors cause/permit.
Professionals in the business will be happy to sell you short-term “feel-better” solutions as long as you buy them. Curing hemorrhoids would cost them a customer, lower their incomes. No one is going to be as interested in your being cured as you are!
Don’t get duped into the never-ending cycle of short-term repeat-use “solutions”. Go for the root causes. Go after the permanent cures. Do like thousands of others before you; cure yourself. Find out how to get rid of hemroids forever. And then live your life hemorrhoid-free!

Botox Out? Poisonous Face Creams In? Celebs Swear By It…
August 31, 2009
Can you remember back before there was Botox® ?
All there was to make us pretty … was pretty much just skin moisturizers … or cosmetic surgery.
Wow. Not much of a choice.
Botox changed a lot of things. Of course, we had to overcome that squeamish feeling of knowing we were injecting a tiny dilute bit of the single most toxic neuro-protein known to man into our faces … but hey, what is a little pin-prick .. and a little Botulism … for the sake of beauty?
We watched celebrities do it, and when we saw that not only did they not fall over twitching and writhing on the floor in horrible agony, but their faces looked smoother, wrinkles disappeared, and youthful glow returned … and we were sold.
Guess what.
It’s happening again.
This time, rather than Botulism, it is snake venom. Synthetic snake venom. Apparently it acts in much the same way as Botox to relax those facial muscles that tweak and pull and contort our face into a wrinkly mess.
But there is a big difference.
No more needles. Think, Botox-type progress, but no more Botox® injections.
Sound good?
It comes in a safe and tested form that can be blended with skin care products, and applied twice a day in the comfort of your own home. Just like your normal facial care routine. But without the needles.
Did I mention that it has been a celebrity secret for quite a while now? (They don’t like us to know that their natural beauty isn’t always so .. natural!) Yes, celebs like Robin McGraw and Rachel Ray have raved about Miracle Hydrate.
Fortunately, this stuff is affordable by regular people like you and me, and Miracle Hydrate may very well put an end to Botox injections.
In fact, Miracle Hydrate intends to make sure that happens.
For a limited time, they are offering a FREE TRIAL of Miracle Hydrate (MH3).
Let your face decide. Check out the free trial offer today.
A Couple Of Great Ideas for Choosing The Best Binoculars For Star Gazing
August 30, 2009
Although star gazing is something many of use do when we have a clear night, most people do not have a clue how to start this as a fully fledged interest so this article will give you some pointers and even how to do it ant no cost. While it is true that it simple is free, what else do you need to find out what exists outside our home, that is the earth? You will be pleased to learn that all that’s required is a star chart which will be available in almost any book on astronomy or astrology for that matter.
Buy mini binoculars at great prices at this online comparison website. You can buy new mini binoculars or used binoculars. Whichever you prefer depending on your needs and budget. If you are having a hard time choosing then be sure to watch our free video on how to choose binoculars.
Try to find a simple one to begin with as some can be very complex and may contain too much information when you are just starting. Available from planetarium or any observatory, you can get the cheapest of the lot as you only need to get familiar with the brightest star and the rest can be incorporated by yourself.
A tip is to never buy your kid a cheap telescope or let parents buy you a cheap telescope because it is far too difficult for a beginner to actually find a star looking through a cheap scope. Don’t become despondent when the star you are looking at disappears from view - it is just the rotation of our planet and will happen almost every night unless the star is high in the sky. This will frustrate you and before the night is over the telescope will be back in its box.
Don’t forget that a pair of binoculars can be equally useful in the early days of star gazing as you become accustomed to the night sky - normally a pair of 10×50 is good for what you want - borrow them if you can or buy them if that is the only way. This could your viewing the complete constellation including star groups, the moon and other planets as well a reality. Consider yourself lucky as every school or at least every town has a well-stacked library which has loads of books on stars, star gazing, the universe as well as the solar system and from here you could enrich your knowledge about such things.
Before you go into too much depth, locate the Southern Cross or Scorpio in the book and then see if you can find it in the night sky. The Southern Cross lies in the south and Orion you’ll find pretty much moving from East to West over your head as the night progresses. Note that it may not be conspicuous as you look for it since it may rise towards the later part or early in the morning.
Do you need to read a lot I hear you ask? Not really, but the moment you start to explore the stars, you will want to know more about them, where they come from and probably where they are going. Strangely, some of the best books to study with in the beginning are those written especially for children as they do not overcomplicate the subject.
So in conclusion, what are the things you need for star gazing? One star chart and one eye and the Universe is within your grasp. And only then you could do with binoculars and once you know why stars move, where they go to and more then buy yourself a proper telescope.
Scottish Haggis understand our traditional Scottish dish
August 30, 2009
Haggis is our national dish but one which a lot of Scots will not eat. Reason they don’t like the idea of the foods that go to make up its bulk and taste.
It is said and I believe it that most people would not have even heard of the Haggis if it had not been for our national poet Robert Burns. He referred to it as the Chieftain of the Pudding Race in his poem “Address To The Haggis. Robert Burns died in 1796 but his memory lives on and so does his poem to the haggis which is said on 25th of January each year when we celebrate Burns Night.
We give the full version of the “Address To the Haggis” poem on ScottishJerk.com. There is also a sample format for those wanting to hold a Burns Night Dinner. The template also has the Scottish Grace or Selkirk Grace along with the order of toasts and responses that should be included.
The haggis can also be eaten as a Haggis Supper at local take-away shops. This is simply deep fried haggis with chipped potatoes (French fries outside of Scotland). You can also buy the haggis in many supermarkets although numbers available on the shelf do seem to increase in mid January then fall away again when sales tend to decrease. So what is that makes our Scottish Haggis special?
If you ask a Scot many of them will say that the haggis is a small beaver sized animal that lives wild on the sides of our Scottish highland hills. They have adapted to the steep sided slopes by having shorter legs on one side of its body than the other. Darwin explained this under the survival of the fittest theory by pointing out that this difference in leg length allowed them to run in circles around steep Scottish highland hills. Some travel agents will still try to sell tourists tickets for haggis hunting tours and then take them to the local butchers shop.
In reality the haggis is made up of the cheapest cuts of meat available usually a sheep making it popular for poorer families in ancient times (although venison haggis is eaten in some areas). The main ingredients tend to be oats and several different meats usually mutton, offal (i.e. heart, liver and lungs) all minced (or ground) along with onion and suet all heavily spiced according to different traditions. After mixing it will be placed inside a sheep’s stomach as a lining before being boiled and served usually with neeps (turnip) and boiled potato.
Today you will also find the sheep’s stomach has been replaced with an artificial cellulose casing and several vegetarian versions of the haggis are being made available in supermarkets.
In many countries it will not be possible to get a truly traditional haggis e.g. the USA where the lung of animals has been ruled to be unfit for human consumption. We have covered the haggis in more detail including its role in Burns Night celebrations on our Scottish culture website http://ScottishJerk.com
Maybe Lease Options or Rent to Own?
August 30, 2009
Locating a Rent To Own house is one of the many ways someone with terrible or no credit can buy a home. You will often find them called names like lease/options, lease with option to buy, lease purchase, lease 2 purchase, rent with option to buy, rent to own, or rent to buy homes. The most popular name is Rent To Own, because it is precisely that - a try before you buy agreement.
There are a a couple of differences between rent to own and lease option agreements, although many people use the terms interchangeably. With a rent to own (or rent to buy) house, the buyer takes an understanding with the owner that part or the majority of the payments will go towards the deposit of the property, and at a certain date, perhaps 2-5 years in the future, the renter will buy the home, applying the money that was set aside to go towards the deposit for the home.
There is usually not much money paid by the tenant/buyer at the start of the deal, outside of what would usually be needed for a rental home, so this is a good way to get into a house for little or no deposit. Another advantage to a rent to buy situation is that if you equate how much rent money is applied monthly to the home price, even if it is only 25-50%, you will be much better off then doing a normal rental, because in this case, the landlord receives 100% of the payments and you receive nothing.
If you look at how much money goes to the principal payment of a home with a typical mortgage loan, you will find that most of your mortgage payment in the beginning is just paying interest on the loan. A rent to own agreement, where the money goes directly to the payment of the home, could be saving you a lot of money in the long run.
With a lease-with-option-to-buy, a renter signs a lease agreement (often for a shorter period of time, like1-2 years, but it could be longer). The renter/buyer usually pays a sum in cash, usually non-refundable, to the owner in agreement to buy the house at a later date for the price agreed upon. The renter has the option or right to buy the home, so in the end they have a choice and can back out it they want. Some of the rent paid may or may not go towards the purchase price of the home.
This is a technique often used by real estate investors in periods when the interest rate is rising fast. This way they hope to buy the home at a lower interest rate on a later date. In the meantime, they will sublease the home to someone else, who will make the payments for them. Again, the terms “lease option” and “rent to buy” are pretty much used interchangeably today, so check with the owner to find out exactly what terms they are offering. Or approach an owner with your own offer for renting to own.
If you are a tenant who is tired of paying someone else’s mortgage and would prefer to actual pay off your own home, this is one of many ways that you can buy a home. One of the drawbacks is that you may decide not to purchase the home at a later date, and if this happens, you loose your rental credits. If your credit can be repaired in several years, this may be a great way for you to get your home now, and good motivation to clean up your credit for the future.
How To Find Cheap Used Cars
August 30, 2009
In the modern Internet enabled world finding cheap used cars by owner is easier than it’s ever been. Car prices can be compared, features examined, even purchases made on sites like eBay motors and independent car sites. With a few simple tips in mind the smart consumer can also avoid lemons and unscrupulous sales.
Online doesn’t mean 100% honest. People often rely too much on the information in media such as television and the Internet. People can lie in magazines and books. The Internet isn’t an exception. Promises can be fabricated, as can proof of those promises. The same predators that run shady used car lots can get onto the Internet Shady car dealers use the Internet too. All the signs of a bad deal can be hidden in the remote world of the Internet. Programs such as Photoshop allow dings and dents to be taken out of car images. People ignore the normal used car precautions when buying online. Diligence is always wise even though every online car seller isn’t a crook.
Always have cheap used autos inspected by a good mechanic. That means driving the car to a garage. Get a mechanic to take a look for you if you won’t see the car before the deal is complete. There are plenty of independent garages that will perform vehicle inspections. There’s no need to rely on the seller’s inspection or garage. An independent opinion is best. The purchase price and money for repairs can be saved with a small inspection fee.
Don’t haggle monthly payments, negotiate price. Force the salesman to reveal the price, not just your monthly installments. Avoid the dealer’s financing because it’s often a way to jack up the price. Go in with your own financing or better yet save up to pay cash for the used car. Remember to demand a discount for a cash payment.
Cheap used cars are a reality. There are a lot of modern tools to aid in their purchase. Don’t let a shiny pitch trick you into a bad purchase.
Making Beautiful Annual Flowers
August 29, 2009
Flowers are one of nature’s heralds of the seasons. The best way to select the type of annual flowers that you want is to decide which flower varieties you want to see. These differences reflect the type of weather and soil conditions that these annual flowers will grow in.
Unlike other annuals these hardy annual flowers don’t like hot weather as they are not heat tolerant. This is similar to flowers. The half hardy annual flowers include torenia, snow-on-the-mountain, blue sage, strawflower, baby’s breath, candytuft, bells of Ireland, celoma, love-in-a-mist, and forget-me-nots.
You will need to plant these annual flowers after the last spring frost. While some flower species can’t tolerate lots of hot summer weather the half hardy annuals may sometimes droop for the weather but they will perk up in the later summer months. Since these annual flowers grow well in warm climates you can expect to see them in all of their glory in the late spring and the warm months of summer. These are just a few of the many annual flowers that you can grow in your garden, and the riot of colors that they bring will absolutely make any garden look great.
These reading materials can be thought of as non-fictional and fictional forms of reading matter. Since that period Batman comics have remained a favorite. An example of this can be seen during the early years of the Batman comics.
To make the character more realistic Batman Comics showed Batman fighting his enemies as a vigilante using only his fighting skills, his strength and his intellect. Unlike the other superheroes Batman was not given any super powers or special abilities. This is just like comic book values. For most of the history of Batman his sidekick Robin is shown fighting alongside of Batman.
The names of the Penguin, the Riddler, Catwoman and even the Joker are ones that we recognize. The various Batman movies that many of us have seen are a testament to the popularity of this superhero and the ever growing legion of Batman fans.
Concept cars, or cars designed according to a certain theme or older model, are generally prototypes introduced at car and motor shows to gauge consumer reaction and appeal. This gained almost instant popularity with the general public. Recognizing a winning horse when they saw one, General Motors further publicized the concept and their car, through its touring Motorama shows of that period. However, tempting as these concept cars may appear under the spotlight, many of them often undergo changes before being put on the production line by their manufacturers, and all of them are subjected to alterations that make them more suitable, and affordable, to their target markets.
In fact many concept cars never even reach this stage due to impractical design glitches and cost factors. This is similar to dream. An interesting example of an old, operational concept car being brought back into service would be the 1954 Ford Lincoln Futura, which after having been stored in the North Hollywood car shop of George Barris came out of storage to rise to stardom as the Batmobile of the 1966 Batman series on the ABC Television Network.
On the same note, current examples for concept cars would be the Mercedes-Benz bionic car (this is said to combine the best of nature, technology and the ever popular DaimlerCrysler engine), the 2006 BMW Mille Miglia concept coupe (based on the earlier BMW 328 Touring coupe and the BMW Z4 M coupe), the Camaro Concept sports coupe (which follows the lines of the first Camaros) and the Chrysler Imperial Concept 2006 (a direct descendent of classic Imperial and Chrysler designs). However, some do escape the crusher and continue to live their lives in storage or on display in automobile museums.
Get Started With Forex Training
August 29, 2009
The Forex, or foreign currency exchange, is all about cash. The world is a huge market in which individual currencies are bought and sold. On the Forex, anyone can buy and sell currency, with the intention of profiting on the exchanges. Whilst dealing with the foreign currency exchange, it is possible to buy the currency of one country, sell it and make a profit. For example, a broker might buy Japanese yen when the yen to dollar ratio increases, sell the yen and buy back American dollars for a profit.
The Forex and the stock market have some similarities, in that they involve buying and selling to make a profit, but there are many differences as well. Unlike the stock market, the Forex has a much higher liquidity, meaning that much more money is changing hands on a daily basis. An additional key distinction when comparing the Forex to the stock market is that the Forex has no defined place where it is exchanged. In essence, this means that the Forex is always open for business!. The Forex involves trading between banks and brokers all over the world and provides twenty-four hour access during the business week.
Another difference between the stock market and the Forex is that Forex trading has much higher leverage than the stock market. So, when somebody decides to invest in the Forex, they can expect much higher profits when they are skilled in currency trading and grasp how it works. There is also the prospect of losing a lot of money as well.
For those who are just getting started in Forex, many brokers provide the service of trading using a mini-Forex system. This typically has a much smaller minimum deposit to begin trading. This makes it easier for those learning the ropes of Forex trading to reduce the chance of losing a lot of money whilst they learn how the system works.
Like most technical entities, you can expect to have to learn a lot of jargon when getting to grips with the Forex. Learning to trade on the Forex can be fairly difficult for the novice trader. When looking at the names used in trades, a symbol is used which is composed of two parts. The first part of the symbol is one currency and the second half of the symbol is the second currency being traded. The symbol “usdjpy” for example, means “US dollars” and “Japanese yen”. It is essential to learn what currency symbols mean when learning about the Forex. There are many books and websites devoted to teaching traders about using the Forex, and mentoring Forex traders.
Prepaid Credit Cards Can Help You Save Money
August 29, 2009
Credit cards are fast replacing cash in these modern times. Through the aid of one piece of plastic, you can make as many purchases as you wish, all while keeping within your credit limit, and without having to carry large amounts of cash. Not only should this allow you to save money, it should also keep you safe, and free from the clutches of robbers who could drain your bulging wallet.
These promises, however, are not easily kept when one finally has a credit card, because they give the illusion that no cash is being spent, until the credit card bill arrives at the end of the billing period, when maximum restraint on splurging will already have been too late. Credit card thieves, moreover, are finding more and more ways to bypass strict bank security measures, and can use a credit card in many a poor victim’s name.
It is due to these that credit card companies are now stricter when receiving credit card applications. Poor credit on previous cards is now automatically taken as grounds for rejection of an application. This is difficult for people who represent companies, which need credit cards to make hotel reservations, rent cars, and book tickets for both national and international flights at the last minute. Credit cards are also required to make orders online, or through the phone.
Prepaid credit cards provide an alternative to one’s credit card needs. They work much like debit cards; that is, an account is set up by a monetary deposit, and this deposited money can be used up through the prepaid credit card issued. The greatest advantage of prepaid credit cards is that you are entitled to spend only as much as you have in your account - thus, you will not be in debt, and you will have no bills to pay.
One disadvantage of reloadable prepaid Visa and Mastercards, however, is that most prepaid credit card companies require a set up fee to both open and maintain the prepaid credit card account. You will be required to pay taxes on your cash deposits, and you may be required to pay an annual membership fee, much in the same way as you would an ordinary credit card.
Another major disadvantage is that most online merchants do not accept prepaid credit cards as payment. This is understandable, as they have no guarantees that the account can completely cover payment for an online purchase. This can be difficult for prepaid credit card holders to pay for monthly subscriptions to Internet service providers, or to purchase items that are sold at zero percent interest, with a certain amount deducted from the credit card at fixed time periods.
If you are interested in purchasing and using a prepaid credit card, take note of these advantages and disadvantages. Although you have the convenience of not carrying cash, you may not be able to purchase as many items as you wish, or from as many merchants as you please. Although you may have to pay additional fees for your account, you can control your overall spending and keep yourself out of debt.
